Carmen Frank
Biography
Art has always been a part of Carmen Frank’s life. Born and raised on the West Coast of B.C., her family always encouraged the arts and she found herself busy with drawing, music, ceramics, sewing, woodworking, and any other crafts she could get her hands on.
When she was 17, she moved to Alberta to study at the U of A and pursue a career in healthcare. This is where she fell in love with the sweeping prairie skies. She began to use art as a creative outlet and started developing her unique style of painting to escape from the stress of everyday life.
Since 2009, Carmen has dedicated herself to creating acrylic paintings with the intent of bringing joy to her audience with scenes that remind them of the magic of Canada. From the West Coast to the Rockies, and the sweeping prairies of Alberta, she never stops falling in love with the beauty of Canada.
Carmen’s paintings feature vivid colours and bold brushstrokes. Carmen’s paintings reflect a lighthearted but loving tribute to the natural world, evoking feelings of wonder, nostalgia, comfort, and home.
