Erica Neumann
Biography
Drawing inspiration from the wildlife and landscapes of Alberta, Erica Neumann creates joyful, colour-rich paintings that celebrate the thrill of unexpected encounters with nature. Her artistic journey in Canmore began in the mid-1990’s, painting chalk pastel menu boards before translating that signature bold style to canvas. Best known for her colourful, energetic wildlife paintings, Erica has completed public murals and community commissions, including the iconic Canmore Folk Festival stage mural that welcomed audiences for more than twenty years. Now based in Okotoks, she uses colour to convey excitement, optimism, and the wonder of the Rockies.
