Biography

Jon Prom is an Alberta-based landscape artist most known for his lifelike renditions of the Canadian Rockies. He works primarily in the acrylic medium on canvas and uses paint-enhancing materials, such as iridescent paints on sun-soaked mountain peaks and epoxy resin on water features, to further reinforce the realistic nature of his work. After almost two decades of creating, painting as an artist became his full-time career purpose after many years of learning paralleling skills and techniques as a car painter and wrapper.

As an intrinsically innovative person, Jon is continuously experimenting and creating new artwork with diverse mediums, unique techniques, and creative processes.
